Baby Shepherd's Pie

I recently bought the The Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker and love it!  I've been scouring Pinterest and the web for recipes to use with it but there just aren't many out there.  So I decided to make my own!  Here is my very own Baby Brezza recipe for Shepherd's Pie!

Baby Shepherd's Pie
Best for Babies Age: 8month+

1 Small White Potato
5oz Frozen Sweet Peas
1 Handful of Baby Carrots (regular carrots would work too)
1/4 lb Lean Ground Beef
(You could also add corn or other vegetables to this recipe, just make sure it is age appropriate!)

Peel and cube your potato.  Make them into small enough cubes that they will both cook and puree easier.  Place them in the Baby Brezza.

Put the ground beef into the Baby Brezza.  Break up the beef so it spreads in a relatively even layer.  (You could also put the beef in first and then the potato)

Chop the carrots into small pieces and place them on top of the beef.

Put some frozen peas on top.

Use the steam only setting on your Baby Brezza and steam for 25 minutes.  Once it is done, pour out the residual water from the bowl.  You can set this aside if you think you may need to thin out but I find that my little one is not a fan when I use residual water from steaming beef as it makes that beef flavor a little strong for him.

Now use your Baby Brezza to blend to your desired consistency.  I found that the Baby Brezza could not quite puree the potatoes enough for my 9 month old, so I finished it up by blending it again in my equally fantastic Ninja Blender to make it into a smoother puree without adding any liquid.

Tada! Super easy delicious Shepherd's Pie for Baby and he loved it!
